Project Overview

Dazuma brought a coordinated office lighting solution, aligning architectural and decorative fixtures across work, meeting, and circulation areas.

Astera Cloud Systems Workplace was developed as a contemporary office environment that needed to perform across multiple modes of use within a clear and disciplined visual framework. Unlike hospitality-driven office interiors that rely heavily on mood and material warmth, this project was designed around a cleaner workplace language: strong daylight access, efficient open-plan work areas, transparent meeting rooms, and clearly defined social nodes. Lighting played a central role in giving the office hierarchy and identity, using suspended linear systems for daily task support, decorative fixtures for social and collaborative areas, and sculptural circulation lighting to strengthen movement through the floor. Dazuma’s contribution helped turn a conventional office shell into a more resolved, premium, and credible U.S. workplace environment.

A brighter, more corporate visual language than hospitality-led office interiors, while still preserving comfort and softness in key areas

How Dazuma Supports Specification, Coordination, and Delivery

Dazuma supports workplace and commercial lighting projects with fixture selection, technical coordination, and installation-aware planning that help teams reduce specification risk, simplify on-site execution, and maintain consistency across the project.

Visual Comfort for Daily Work

Lighting planned to reduce glare, support screen-based tasks, and maintain comfortable brightness across workstations, meeting rooms, and shared areas.

Fixture Specification & Project Coordination

Fixture types, mounting details, finishes, and light output coordinated with ceiling conditions, design intent, and functional requirements across each project zone.

Dimming, Driver & Control Compatibility

Solutions reviewed for compatibility with driver specifications, dimming protocols, and control requirements to reduce coordination issues before installation.

Installation & Maintenance Planning

Fixture layouts and product choices considered with access, replacement, and on-site installation conditions in mind to support smoother execution and long-term upkeep.

From Brief to Final Installation

Project Brief

Brief

Understanding the scope, priorities, and visual direction

We begin by reviewing the project goals, site conditions, space functions, and overall design expectations. This early stage helps define the lighting direction and identify the key performance needs for the project.

Brief
Drawing & Site Review

Concept

Translating concept requirements into buildable conditions

Drawings, dimensions, ceiling conditions, and installation constraints are reviewed to align the lighting plan with the actual site. This step helps reduce coordination issues before fixtures move into final selection and placement.

Project Spaces

Open Workspace

A structured workstation floor designed for daily focus, daylight balance, and visual consistency

The open workspace was lit to support long-duration desk use while preserving a bright and controlled office atmosphere. Suspended linear pendants establish clear overhead order and help organize workstation groupings without creating visual clutter. Large perimeter windows bring in strong daylight, while the artificial lighting keeps the core work zone legible and usable when natural light shifts throughout the day. The result is a workspace that feels efficient, professional, and visually disciplined rather than overly casual.

· Support focused desk work with even, low-distraction illumination
· Use suspended linear fixtures to create order across the open plan
· Balance daylight and artificial light for all-day workplace usability

Touchdown Lounge

A soft-seating breakout area embedded within the work floor for short meetings, informal work, and reset moments

This area was designed as a lighter, more relaxed counterpoint to the desk-based workspace. Soft lounge seating, generous daylight, and the shift in fixture character help mark the space as suitable for brief conversations, heads-down laptop work, or short decompression between tasks. Rather than functioning as a separate amenity room, the touchdown lounge remains visually connected to the larger office while offering a softer behavioral cue through furniture and lighting.

· Create a usable alternative to desk-based work without isolating the space
· Introduce comfort and flexibility within the open office floor
· Use lighting and furniture together to soften the workplace experience

Pantry Café

A daily-use office social hub designed around refreshment, quick interaction, and short informal pauses

The pantry café acts as a practical and social anchor for the office floor. The lighting here was designed to feel warmer and slightly more welcoming than the surrounding desk areas, while still staying within the visual language of the larger workplace. Suspended linear pendants and recessed downlights support functional use at the island, while the lighter timber cabinetry and daylight help the zone feel open and approachable. This space is less about statement design and more about making daily rituals—coffee, short conversations, quick resets—feel integrated into the office rather than secondary to it.

· Create a social node that feels useful, visible, and easy to approach
· Support task visibility at the island without over-lighting the space
· Differentiate the pantry from adjacent work areas through tone and material balance

Meeting Room

A glazed conference room designed for presentations, team sessions, and client-facing discussion

The meeting room was designed to remain transparent and integrated with the office while still having enough visual identity to function as a formal shared space. Large circular pendants help center the meeting table and provide a softer, more balanced presence than conventional direct-only overhead lighting. Full-height glass keeps the room visually open, while curtains allow for privacy and light control when needed. The space reads as clean and professional, which is critical for a workplace intended to host both internal teams and external guests.

· Give the meeting room a distinct identity without overcomplicating it
· Support table-centered discussion, presentation, and client meetings
· Balance transparency, privacy control, and professional clarity

Corridor & Glass Frontage

A circulation spine designed to strengthen orientation and give the office a memorable spatial signature

The corridor uses a more expressive lighting language than the rest of the office, turning circulation into part of the project identity rather than a neutral leftover zone. The continuous sculptural fixture line above the glazed meeting frontage creates strong directional flow and adds movement through repetition. Because so much of the office relies on standard ceiling grids and disciplined linear order, this corridor becomes an important visual release point and helps the workplace feel more designed from end to end.

· Make circulation clearer and more memorable
· Use feature lighting to give the office a recognizable spatial signature
· Strengthen the connection between meeting zones and the wider floor
