Project Overview

Dazuma brought a layered hospitality lighting solution that enhanced guest comfort through ambient, decorative, and wayfinding lighting.

The Eden Lodge was developed as a layered hospitality lighting project that balances architectural warmth, visual clarity, and a calm guest experience. Across the property, the lighting approach combines integrated ambient lines, decorative focal fixtures, and discreet wayfinding elements to support both public-facing identity and private comfort. Natural stone, warm wood finishes, and expansive glazing are reinforced through controlled illumination that reads clearly by night while remaining soft and welcoming at the human scale.

A consistent lighting language across exterior, public spaces, and guest floors
Warm, low-glare illumination tailored to hospitality use rather than retail brightness
Decorative focal lighting integrated with architectural and wayfinding layers

How Dazuma Supports Specification, Coordination, and Delivery

Dazuma supports workplace and commercial lighting projects with fixture selection, technical coordination, and installation-aware planning that help teams reduce specification risk, simplify on-site execution, and maintain consistency across the project.

Visual Comfort for Daily Work

Lighting planned to reduce glare, support screen-based tasks, and maintain comfortable brightness across workstations, meeting rooms, and shared areas.

Fixture Specification & Project Coordination

Fixture types, mounting details, finishes, and light output coordinated with ceiling conditions, design intent, and functional requirements across each project zone.

Dimming, Driver & Control Compatibility

Solutions reviewed for compatibility with driver specifications, dimming protocols, and control requirements to reduce coordination issues before installation.

Installation & Maintenance Planning

Fixture layouts and product choices considered with access, replacement, and on-site installation conditions in mind to support smoother execution and long-term upkeep.

From Brief to Final Installation

Project Brief

Brief

Understanding the scope, priorities, and visual direction

We begin by reviewing the project goals, site conditions, space functions, and overall design expectations. This early stage helps define the lighting direction and identify the key performance needs for the project.

Brief
Drawing & Site Review

Concept

Translating concept requirements into buildable conditions

Drawings, dimensions, ceiling conditions, and installation constraints are reviewed to align the lighting plan with the actual site. This step helps reduce coordination issues before fixtures move into final selection and placement.

Technical

Matching fixture types, finishes, and placement to the project

Fixture specifications are coordinated according to the design intent, application requirements, and site conditions. Size, finish, light output, and mounting details are considered together to support both visual impact and practical use.

Installation

Supporting clean execution during the installation phase

During installation, fixture positioning, on-site conditions, and execution details are reviewed to keep the lighting plan aligned with the intended result. This stage is critical for maintaining consistency across the project.

Final Adjustment & Delivery

Result

Refining the result for visual balance and day-to-day use

After installation, the lighting is reviewed as a complete environment. Final adjustments help improve visual balance, support the intended atmosphere, and ensure the space performs well in practical use.

EXTERIOR & ARRIVAL

A landscaped approach with a transparent lobby edge and a clearly defined nighttime entrance.

The exterior combines stone, warm-toned timber, and full-height glazing to create a calm but recognizable arrival identity. During the day, the glazed corner exposes the lounge behind the facade and softens the transition from the exterior path to the interior. At night, canopy downlights, illuminated signage, pathway bollards, tree accents, and selective facade uplighting organize the guest approach and reinforce the entry sequence without over-lighting the building.

· Creates a readable arrival path through bollards, canopy lighting, and sign illumination
· Uses glazing to visually connect the lobby lounge with the landscape outside
· Balances stone texture, timber warmth, and low-level site lighting for a refined hospitality presence

LOUNGE BAR

A compact bar setting built around decorative pendants, shelf illumination, and intimate table lighting.

The lounge bar is centered on a compact statement counter with a layered lighting scheme that supports both atmosphere and function. Decorative pendants establish the bar as the visual anchor, backlit shelving gives bottles and glassware definition, and a low LED glow at the bar front lifts the counter from the floor plane. Small table lamps create intimate pools of light around the surrounding seating, while supporting downlights and wall accents keep the room legible without flattening the mood.

· Establishes the bar as the focal point through pendant lighting and shelf illumination
· Uses low-level glow and table lamps to maintain a relaxed evening atmosphere
· Balances display, service visibility, and seated lounge comfort in one compact zone

DINING ROOM

A window-led dining space layered with pendant clusters and table-level task light.

The restaurant is organized around the window wall, where daylight and layered evening lighting both shape the dining experience. Clustered globe pendants create soft ambient pools over the seating areas, while candle-style table lamps give each table its own focused light. Full-height glazing and sheer curtains keep the room visually open and calm, and the repeated pendant rhythm helps define seating zones without making the space feel crowded.

· Combines natural daylight with soft evening lighting across the same seating zone
· Uses globe pendant clusters to create a consistent ambient layer above the room
· Adds table-level light for comfort, intimacy, and better visual definition at each setting

GUEST ROOM

A calm bedroom scheme defined by indirect headboard light, pendant bedside fixtures, and soft ambient layers.

The guest room lighting is restrained and comfort-led, with the bed wall acting as the main visual anchor. Indirect cove lighting washes the headboard plane, pendant fixtures provide bedside ambient and task light, and discreet downlights support general illumination without introducing glare. A separate table lamp serves the lounge chair, while the window-side seating area extends the room beyond the bed zone and keeps the space feeling residential rather than overly hotel-like.

· Centers the room around a softly illuminated bed wall rather than broad overhead brightness
· Separates bedside, general, and lounge lighting into clear functional layers
· Extends the room experience through a secondary seating zone near the window

GUEST CORRIDOR

A clear wayfinding corridor with continuous linear light, repeated downlights, and sculptural wall accents.

The corridor lighting is designed for orientation, rhythm, and comfort over long runs. Continuous LED strips along the ceiling edges establish a calm ambient path, evenly spaced downlights provide general visibility, and wall sconces introduce a softer accent layer at the room entries. This combination avoids a flat tunnel effect and gives the corridor a more residential hospitality character while maintaining clear circulation.

· Uses continuous ceiling-edge light to support intuitive wayfinding
· Reinforces room entry rhythm through repeated wall sconces
· Keeps the corridor evenly lit without making it feel clinical or harsh

LOUNGE SEATING

A double-height sitting area defined by full-height glazing, soft curtain light, and a suspended feature cluster.

The lounge seating area is built around height, transparency, and a softer social pace. Recessed downlights provide background illumination, cove lighting softens the ceiling perimeter, and curtain grazing brings texture and scale to the full-height drapery. The suspended decorative cluster anchors the room vertically and becomes the main focal point in both daylight and evening conditions. During the day, the space benefits from strong natural light through the garden-facing glass wall; at night, it shifts into a quieter sitting lounge with the pendant composition as its centerpiece.

· Uses full-height glazing and curtains to create a tall, light-filled hospitality lounge
· Relies on the pendant cluster as the main vertical focal point in the room
· Transitions effectively from daytime lounge seating to evening social space
