There are two wires (one red, one black) at both ends of the light strip, and it supports cutting operations:
If you cut it only once, you can connect the wires directly at both ends of the cut light strip without the need for additional soldering of new wires.
If you cut it into three sections, the middle section will require soldering of new wires (such wires are usually available from electricians). Once soldered, it can be directly connected to the (24V) transformer.
Please note: This light strip operates on 24V DC power supply and must be used with a transformer (transformer not included in the product).
